COGO Survey Calculator is built to be private by design. It works entirely on your device, with no account and no server. We do not collect, track, sell, or transmit your personal information or your survey data.

The short version: Your jobs, points, and traverses stay on your iPhone or iPad. The app does not connect to any server we operate, contains no advertising or analytics SDKs, and asks for no personal information. Purchases are handled by Apple.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the COGO Survey Calculator iOS app (the “App”), published by Vendrato (“we,” “us”). It also covers this website, cogo.vendrato.com.

Information the App collects

None. The App does not collect personal data. Specifically:

Your survey data — jobs, points, coordinates, bearings, distances, traverses, and computed results — is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
No account. You don't create an account, sign in, or give us your name, email, or phone number to use the App.
No tracking. The App contains no advertising identifiers, no analytics or attribution SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not build a profile of you or track you across apps or websites.
No location collection. The App does not request or record your device location.

Data stored on your device

The jobs and points you create are saved locally using Apple's on-device database so your work persists between sessions. The App also stores a few small settings (for example, whether you've completed the welcome tutorial and whether you've unlocked Pro) using the system's standard preferences storage. This information stays on your device and, if you use iCloud device backups, is included in your own Apple backup under Apple's control — it is never sent to us.

Purchases

COGO Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system using StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction and your payment information; we never see or receive your payment details. Whether you own Pro is determined on your device from your App Store purchase history. We may see anonymized, aggregated sales and subscription statistics in Apple's App Store Connect, which do not identify you. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

On-device assistant

The optional “Theo” assistant uses Apple's on-device foundation models (Apple Intelligence) where available. Your questions and your job data are processed on your device; they are not sent to us or to any third party by the App. Availability depends on your device and iOS settings, and the App works fully without it.

Network use

The App is designed to operate fully offline and does not connect to any server operated by us. It will function with no network connection at all.

Children's privacy

The App is a professional tool and is not directed to children. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. You can remove all of the App's data at any time by deleting a job within the App or by deleting the App from your device.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and post the revised version on this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
