Does the app work without an internet connection?
Yes — completely. COGO Survey Calculator is designed for the field and never needs a network connection. There's no account and no server.
What's included free, and what does Pro unlock?
Free includes one job and up to ten points with full on-screen computation — and CSV, PDF, and DXF export are free for everyone. COGO Pro unlocks unlimited jobs and points, Compass and Transit adjustment, and enclosed-area output.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Open the app, tap the COGO Pro button on the Jobs screen, and choose “Restore Purchases.” Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you purchased with.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Tap the COGO Pro button on the Jobs screen and choose “Manage Subscription,” or go to Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the paid period.
Can I get my data into CAD or share it with the office?
Yes — export is free for everyone. You can export a DXF file (AutoCAD R12, opens in Civil 3D and most GIS tools), a CSV point file in a configurable layout and delimiter (PNEZD, PENZD, NEZ, ENZ … with comma, semicolon, tab, or space), and a single-page PDF survey report — all via the system share sheet at no charge. You can also import points from CSV, so a job round-trips between the field and the office with the data you already have.
What tools does the app include?
Traverse entry with closure and adjustment; inverse/forward computation; horizontal curves; COGO intersections and 3-point resection; radiations (inverse list); 3-point circle; angle calculator; station and offset; vertical curve solver; UTM and State Plane (SPCS83) coordinate conversion; grade/slope calculator; triangle solver; horizontal alignment with spirals; area subdivision; and metes-and-bounds legal description. The on-device AI assistant Theo can run computations and draft traverse legs from plain-English prompts — it requires an Apple Intelligence-capable device with Apple Intelligence enabled.
Are my surveys backed up anywhere?
Your data is stored on your device. If you use iCloud device backups, it's included in your own Apple backup. We never receive or store your data.
